Dr. Zelina Medina

Claudia Hernandez, LPCC

Dr. Zelina Medina is a Licensed Acupuncturist and Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine dedicated to providing integrative, patient-centered care that bridges traditional healing wisdom with modern clinical practice. With nearly a decade of experience as the founder of Acuvida Acupuncture, she specializes in helping patients address pain, women’s health concerns, skin health, mental wellness, autoimmune conditions, and complex chronic presentations through individualized, holistic treatment plans.

Dr. Medina’s approach combines acupuncture, cupping, herbal medicine, nutrition, and lifestyle counseling to support the body’s natural healing processes while addressing root causes of imbalance. She works collaboratively with patients to develop personalized protocols tailored to their health goals, emphasizing sustainable wellness, functional recovery, and long-term resilience.

Her clinical training includes a Doctorate in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Emperor’s College in Santa Monica and a Master’s degree from Southern California University of Health Sciences. During her internships, she conducted comprehensive evaluations and developed treatment plans incorporating acupuncture, moxibustion, herbal prescriptions, and rehabilitative strategies.

Dr. Medina has pursued extensive continuing education in integrative oncology, trauma-informed care, herbal medicine, cosmetic and rehabilitative acupuncture, and complex case management. She has also trained internationally in Traditional Mexican Medicine in Oaxaca, Mexico, and plant medicine studies in Iquitos, Peru, experiences that deepened her understanding of cultural healing traditions, herbal therapeutics, and the role of community-based care.
