Michael Bournstein brings over thirty years of experience working with adolescents and young adults across a variety of settings, including inpatient programs, schools, and private practice. His clinical work centers on helping individuals connect with their authentic selves as a foundation for emotional well-being and personal growth.
Michael has extensive experience supporting clients navigating trauma, abuse, and family conflict, as well as coaching families through challenges such as academic difficulties, parent-adolescent dynamics, and major life transitions. His approach is warm, grounded, and collaborative, drawing on a rich personal and professional background.
In addition to his clinical expertise, Michael’s life experience informs his work. He has been a teacher, father, husband, son, and friend. As a youth, he trained horses with his father, and today he continues to express his creativity through live music as a bassist and vocalist.
Michael’s deep understanding of human relationships, combined with decades of therapeutic experience, enables him to support clients with insight, compassion, and practical strategies for lasting change.
